PRIDE ATHLETICS TO HOST MENTORING NIGHT
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - The Fifth Annual
Hofstra Athletics Mentoring Night, presented by Capital One Bank, will
take place Tuesday, November 9 at David S. Mack Hall. The event will
begin at 7 p.m.
Mentoring Night is one of the
signature student-athlete development events of the year. The event
welcomes former student-athletes back to campus to meet with current
junior and senior student-athletes about a variety of topics including
career development, networking, interview tips and utilizing the
experiences obtained as a student-athlete to stand out in today's
challenging job market.
Over 25 former student-athletes will
return to campus for the event ranging in fields from marketing, sales
and finance to medicine, law, and education. The keynote speaker for
the evening will be Anthony Perettine '86, Executive Vice President at
Capital One Equipment Leasing and Finance, a subsidiary of Capital One
Bank. Perettine, a former men's lacrosse player for Hofstra is also a
member of the Pride Club Board of Directors and recently served on the
2010 Hall of Fame Committee.
This is the first year in which
Hofstra Athletics Mentoring Night is presented by Capital One Bank. On
October 12, Hofstra Athletics announced a new partnership with Capital
One Bank and the comprehensive agreement includes presenting sponsor
rights of Mentoring Night to assist with the Pride's ongoing
student-athlete development efforts.
