PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Lauren Jones • Georgia State

Infielder, Junior, Stockbridge, Ga./Union Grove

Georgia State junior infielder Lauren Jones earned CAA Softball Player of the Week honors after leading the Panthers to a 3-2 record against Georgia Southern, Siena and Kennesaw State. The junior hit .533 (8-of-15) with a home run, four runs scored and another three batted in. She hit safely in all five games, including a 2-for-2 showing at the plate against Siena with her first long ball of the season and three RBI. In the final game of the weekend, Jones was the lone Panthers to perform offensively, going 2-for-3. She is still error free through 10 games.


PITCHER OF THE WEEK:
Erin Wade • Hofstra

Pitcher, Sophomore, Taunton, Mass./Taunton

Hofstra sophomore pitcher Erin Wade earned CAA Softball Pitcher of the Week accolades after helping the Pride to a 4-1 record with three wins in the circle at the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Ga. The Pride are now ranked in the nation in the latest Ultimate College Softball Top 25 Poll, and is receiving votes in the other two national polls as well. Wade went 3-0 during the tournament, pitching two complete games for the Pride, while compiling an ERA of 2.29. The pitcher allowed 12 hits in 18.1 innings of work, with 14 strikeouts, while only walking 12 batters. She tossed a two-hitter in the win over Virginia Tech and pitched a seven-hit shutout against Kent State, in which Hofstra won on a solo home run in the seventh, 1-0. Wade's showing last weekend helped the Pride match their best start through 10 games in program history, going 9-1.


ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
Katie Lingmai • Towson

Pitcher, Freshman, Salem, Ore./Salem

Towson freshman pitcher Katie Lingmai earned CAA Softball Rookie of the Week honors after helping the Tigers to a 3-3 record, with a 1-1 mark in the circle at the ECU Pirate Classic in Greenville, N.C., while compiling an ERA of 0.69. The pitcher allowed nine hits in 13.0 innings of work, with eight strikeouts, while walking nine. She threw a complete game against Morehead State, allowing one unearned run on five hits. Against East Carolina, she allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits in six innings of work.
