CAA Volleyball Offensive
Player of the Week:
Christi Laite, Jr.,
RS, UNCW
Laite led the Seahawks to a 3-0 record last week with an
average of 3.17 kills and 0.92 digs per set. She recorded double-figure kills
and posted an attack percentage of .190 or higher in all three matches. Laite
began her week by notching a match-high 11 kills and turned in a .269 hitting
percentage in a 3-0 sweep of North Carolina Central. On Friday night she
tallied 11 kills and a .280 attack clip in a 3-2 triumph over George Mason
while adding five blocks. Laite posted another match-best 16 kills and a .190 hitting
percentage in 3-1 victory over James Madison Sunday afternoon. Overall, Laite
finished the week with 38 kills, 11 digs, and 10 blocks.
CAA Volleyball Defensive
Player of the Week:
Shaylin O'Connell, Sr.,
MB, William & Mary
O'Connell tallied 10 blocks and averaged 1.67 blocks
per set to earn her first Defensive Player of the Week honor this season. She
led the Tribe in kills, blocks, and points in both matches last weekend.
O'Connell had a career-high 20 kills, five blocks and a .400 attack percentage
to lead the Tribe to a 3-2 victory over James Madison. Against George Mason,
she added nine kills and five blocks, hitting .300 in the process in the
Tribe's 3-0 sweep Saturday night. O'Connell finished the week with 29 kills and
an average of 4.25 points per set.
CAA Volleyball Rookie of the
Week:
Victoria Phillips, Fr., S,
UNCW
Phillips averaged 5.67 assists and 4.17 digs per set in
helping the Seahawks to a 3-0 record last week. She recorded a double-double in
all three matches and extended her double-double streak to five straight
matches. Phillips tallied 21 assists and 16 digs in a 3-0 victory over North
Carolina Central Tuesday and dished out 19 assists and added 11 digs in 3-2
triumph over George Mason Friday. On Sunday, she added 28 assists and totaled a
career-high 23 digs in a 3-1 win over James Madison. Phillips finished with 50
digs and 68 assists for the week.

William & Mary's Shaylin
O'Connell posted a career-high 20 kills in the Tribe's 3-2 victory over JMU
Friday night.
Towson extended its winning streak
to 15 matches following its 3-1 win over Delaware Friday night.
Towson's Aubrey Kirven recorded 57
assists in the Tigers' 3-1 win over Delaware Friday night. The mark is the
highest assist total this season for a match under five sets.
UNCW's Natalie LaHaie became the
seventh player in program history to record 1,500 assists as she surpassed the
milestone during the Seahawks' 3-2 win over George Mason Friday night.
UNCW is currently riding a
four-match winning streak, its longest win streak since 2009.
Hofstra's Nikki Kinnier moved into
11th place on the school's all-time kills list in the Pride's 3-0 win over
Geogia State Friday night. The junior outside hitter has 1,112 kills for her
career.
JMU's MacKenzie Kleespies posted a
career-high 17 kills in the Dukes' five-set loss to William & Mary.
Towson sophomore Aniris Fernandez
recorded a career-high 15 digs in the Tigers' four-set win over Delaware Friday
night.
Northeastern finished its 2012 home
slate undefeated with an 11-0 record following its 3-0 sweep of Georgia State
Sunday afternoon. The Huskies are currently riding a program best 17-match home
winning streak.
