CAA Preseason All-Freshman Team 2012-13
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ-Five members of the Drexel University wrestling
team, three from Old Dominion University, one from Hofstra University and one
from Rider University make up the 2012-13 Colonial Athletic Association
Preseason All-Freshman team.
From Drexel are 149 Matt Cimato of Yardley, PA, 157 Jason
Fugiel of Crystal Lake, Ill., 165 Steven Elicegui of Reno, NV, 174 Conor Moran
of Nottingham, PA and 184 Gage Harrah of Crystal Lake, Ill.
From ODU are 141 Lenny Richardson of Jersey City, NJ, 197 Kevin Beazley of Howell,
Michigan and heavyweight Lucas Ryan of Mount Jackson, VA.
From Hofstra is Jamel Hudson of Bayshore, NY and from Rider
is Patrick Skinner of Freeport, NY.
For the Dragons, Cimato was a finalist at Flo National. A
two-time Junior Freestyle All-American, he placed third and fourth at the PA
States while at LaSalle College High School.
Fugiel placed second and third at the Illinois States while
wrestling at Crystal Lake.
Elicegui was a three-time Nevada State Champion at Wooster
and finished last season ranked 13th in the nation. Moran was a finalist at Flo National and
placed fourth and fifth at the PA States while at Solanco. Harrah was a two-time Illinois State Champion
at Crystal Lake and was twice a Junior Freestyle All-American. He was also a
finalist at Flo National.
For the Monarchs, Richardson was the 2012 New Jersey State
Champ at St. Peter's Prep and was a NHSCA Champion. Beazley was a Michigan
State Champion at Detroit Catholic Central and was a Fargo All-American. Ryan was a two-time Virginia State Champion
at Stonewall Jackson High.
The Pride's Hudson was the 2012 New York State Champion at
St. Anthony's and the NY Wrestler of the Year.
Rider's Skinner placed third and fourth at New York State
for Kellenberg Memorial High School and was twice a NHSCA All-American.
