CAA Volleyball Co-Offensive
Player of the Week:
Katy Buck, Jr., OH,
Towson
Buck had a big weekend to help the Tigers win the CAA
regular-season championship with a perfect 12-0 record in CAA play. Buck posted
a pair of "double-doubles" and averaged 4.88 kills per set and 2.88 digs per
set. On Friday night against UNCW, she posted 16 kills and 13 digs for her
ninth "double-double" of the year in the 3-1 victory. On Saturday against
William & Mary, Buck had a huge night with a career-high 23 kills. She hit
.375 in the contest while adding 10 digs for her 10th "double-double" of the
year to lead the Tigers to their 18th win in a row.

Player of the Week:
Kelsie Wills, So.,
OH, Hofstra
Wills led Hofstra to two crucial CAA victories last weekend
to help the Pride earn the No. 4 seed in the CAA Championship. The New Zealand native led Hofstra in kills
in both matches, starting with 16 in the Pride's 3-0 sweep of George Mason
Friday night. Wills picked up her team-best 13th double-double of the season in
a 3-1 win over James Madison Saturday with 18 kills and 10 digs. She finished
the week with a team-leading 34 kills (4.86 kpg), and a .250 hitting
percentage.
CAA Volleyball Defensive
Player of the Week:
Alysha McCreary, Sr.,
MB, Towson
McCreary had a huge weekend at the block to help the
Tigers finish out the CAA regular season with a perfect 12-0 record. She
averaged 1.57 blocks per set while adding 2.00 kills per set. McCreary posted
four kills and four blocks in the win over UNCW on Friday night. She followed
that up with 10 kills and seven blocks in the win over William & Mary on
Saturday night.
CAA Volleyball Rookie
of the Week:
Meghan Niski, Fr., OH, James
Madison
Niski helped JMU clinch a berth in the
CAA Championship after averaging 3.71 kills and 2.43 digs per set over the
weekend. In JMU's 3-0 win over Northeastern on Friday night, Niski had a
career-high 17 kills on .361 hitting, adding eight digs and a block. The rookie
had nine kills, nine digs and two blocks in a four-set match against Hofstra
Saturday night. Overall she hit .265 for the weekend and did not commit a
receiving error in 29 attempts.

Towson's Katy Buck tallied a career-high 23 kills in the
Tigers' 3-1 win over William & Mary Saturday night.
Hofstra's Kelsie Wills earned her 13th double-double of
the season with 18 kills and 10 digs in the Pride's 3-1 win over JMU Saturday
night.
Delaware clinched its seventh straight winning season
Saturday after its 3-0 victory over UNCW.
JMU freshman Meghan Niski recorded a career-high 17 kills
in the Dukes' 3-0 win over Northeastern Friday night.
Following its 12-0 record in conference play, Towson has
earned the CAA regular-season title along with the No. 1 seed in this weekend's
CAA Championship. The Tigers are riding an 18-match winning streak and are one
win shy of the school record. The CAA Championship will be hosted on the
Tigers' home court inside the Towson Center Arena Nov. 16-18. Towson will face the
winner of the Hofstra/William & Mary quarterfinal in Saturday's second
semifinal at 7:00 p.m.
Delaware clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming CAA
Championship after finishing conference play with a 9-3 record. The Blue Hens
enter the championship as winners of seven of their last eight matches
including two 3-0 sweeps of UNCW and William & Mary to close out the
regular season. Delaware will face the winner of the Northeastern/James Madison
quarterfinal in Saturday's opening semifinal match at 4:00 p.m.
Northeastern finished the CAA regular season with a 9-3
record and enters the CAA Championship as the No. 3 seed. The Huskies have won
three of their last four matches including a 3-0 sweep of George Mason in their
regular season finale Saturday night. Northeastern will face sixth-seeded James
Madison in Friday's opening quarterfinal at 4:00 p.m. in a rematch from last
Friday night which the Dukes won 3-0.
Hofstra will enter the CAA Championship as the No. 4 seed
after finishing the season on a four-match winning streak. The Pride will take
on fifth-seeded William & Mary in Friday's second semifinal at 7:00 p.m.
The Tribe finished the season with a 5-7 record in CAA play and won the season
series against Hofstra after a 3-2 victory on Sept. 28 in Hempstead.
