As of press time, CAA teams will be featured in 84 televised games thanks in large part to the conference’s agreements with NBC Sports Network, the Comcast SportsNet regional networks and the newly launched American Sports Network. Additional games will be added to the television schedule prior to the start of the regular season. CAA fans will also be provided with internet broadcasts of hundreds of additional games through CAA.TV, the conference’s new digital network. CAA.TV will provide coverage of any non-televised conference game.
“We’re grateful for the tremendous exposure our schools will receive through our partnerships with the NBC Sports Network, the Comcast Sports Group and the American Sports Network,” said CAA Commissioner Tom Yeager. “With the expansion of CAA.TV, our digital network, fans will have the opportunity to watch every conference game.”
NBC Sports Network will present 10 CAA men’s basketball games to a national television audience this season, including the semifinals and finals of the CAA Men’s Basketball Championship. NBCSN is available in more than 85 million homes and features coverage of the Summer and Winter Olympics as well as the National Hockey League, Premier League, Formula One, Major League Soccer, the IZOD Indy Car Series, the Tour de France and major college football and basketball.
The syndicated package on the Comcast family of networks features 22 games on the Comcast SportsNets (CSN Mid-Atlantic, CSN Philadelphia, CSN New England), and The Comcast Network, providing tremendous exposure in many of the nation’s largest media markets. Comcast SportsNet will once again televise the quarterfinals of the CAA Men’s Basketball Championship as well as the semifinals and finals of the CAA Women’s Basketball Championship. Comcast Sports Group consists of 11 regional networks that deliver 2,400 sporting events annually to more than 43 million homes.
The CAA’s newest television partner, the American Sports Network, will televise 16 men’s and women’s contests on affiliate stations throughout the nation. ASN is a programming initiative of Sinclair Networks Group, which plans to produce over 211 college sports games during the 2014-2015 academic year featuring six NCAA Division I conferences. Sinclair Broadcast Group includes 164 television stations and affiliations with all the major networks and reaches approximately 38.2% of U.S. television households.
In addition, CAA teams will make appearances on the ESPN family of networks, and other contests will be televised by FS1, the SEC Network, the Big Ten Network, the Pac 12 Network, and the ACC Regional Network.
