RICHMOND, Va. – CAA Football’s week nine Player of the Week honors have been awarded to student-athletes from James Madison, Rhode Island and Maine, the conference announced on Monday.
Offensive Player of the Week
Vad Lee | QB | James Madison
· Totaled six touchdowns – four passing and two rushing – in JMU’s win at Charlotte.
· Finished 32-of-47 passing for a game-high 333 yards.
· Added 71 rushing yards on 12 carries.
Defensive Player of the Week
Andrew Bose | LB | Rhode Island
· Posted 19 tackles against Maine – the most in CAA Football this season.
· His 19 tackles tied for the fifth-highest total in Rhody history.
· Recorded three tackles-for-loss and a pair of sacks.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Myles Holmes | KR | Rhode Island
· Returned the opening kickoff of the third quarter 100 yards for a Rhode Island touchdown, giving the Rams a 14-6 lead.
· Became the first CAA Football player this season with a kick-return touchdown.
Rookie of the Week
Nigel Beckford | RB | Maine
· Rushed for a game-high 107 yards on 25 carries in Maine’s win over Rhody.
· Added a six-yard scoring run in the third quarter.
· His 25 carries and 107 yards both set career highs.
