RICHMOND, Va. – CAA Football on Monday honored William & Mary’s Kendell Anderson, Richmond’s David Jones, Towson’s Sam Hurwitz and UAlbany’s Elijah Ibitokun-Hanks as the league’s week nine Players of the Week.
 
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Kendell Anderson | RB | William & Mary
-Ran a career-high 30 times for 138 yards as William & Mary outlasted James Madison, 44-41.
-Recorded a career-best three touchdowns, including the game-winning score with just 41 seconds remaining.
-Caught four passes for 34 yards out of the Tribe backfield.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
David Jones | DB | Richmond
-Matched a CAA Football record with four interceptions in Richmond’s 38-31 victory over UAlbany.
-Returned the four picks for a total of 62 yards.
-Added five tackles and a fumble recovery for the Spiders.
 
Special Teams Player of the Week
Sam Hurwitz | PK | Towson
-Went a perfect 4-of-4 on field goal attempts in Towson’s 19-0 win over Delaware, tying a Tigers program record.
-Connected on kicks from 39, 39, 34 and 27 yards out, respectively.
-The four made field goals matched a CAA Football season high.
 
Rookie of the Week
Elijah Ibitokun-Hanks | RB | UAlbany
-Rushed 25 times for a career-high 202 yards for UAlbany in the Great Danes’ narrow loss at Richmond.
-Posted two runs of 40-plus yards in the contest.
-Becomes just the fourth CAA Football player record a 200-yard rushing game in 2015.
