RICHMOND, Va. – CAA Football has recognized William & Mary’s Steve Cluley, Villanova’s Cameron McCurry, Stony Brook’s Kye Morgan, and Maine’s Micah Wright as its Players of the Week from week 11.
Offensive Player of the Week
Steve Cluley | QB | William & Mary
- Completed an efficient 21-of-23 passes for 262 yards as William & Mary clinched at least a share of the CAA Football title in a win over Towson.
- Connected on a pair of touchdown passes – both going to receiver Kevin Hart.
- The completion percentage of 91.3 set a new Tribe single-game record.
Defensive Player of the Week
Cameron McCurry | S | Villanova
- Piled up eight tackles, a sack and a pass breakup as Villanova remained in postseason contention with a 21-20 victory over Richmond.
- Recovered a first-quarter Richmond fumble as the Spiders were driving deep in Villanova territory, then forced a fumble on the opening kick of the second half, leading to a Wildcats touchdown on the following play.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Kye Morgan | DB | Stony Brook
- Blocked a third-quarter Rhode Island punt and recovered it in the endzone for a touchdown, giving Stony Brook a two-score lead in an eventual 19-7 win.
- Also tied for the Seawolves lead with five tackles – including four solos – on defense.
Rookie of the Week
Micah Wright | WR | Maine
- Established career highs with nine catches for 198 yards and two scores in Maine’s loss to Elon.
- The first touchdown came on a 60-yard strike in the fourth quarter, marking his longest reception of the season.
- His 198 receiving yards stand as the third-highest single-game total in CAA Football in 2015.
