James Madison advanced to its first CAA women’s soccer championship since 2015, using a late goal to defeat Charleston, 2-1.

The No. 1 seed, James Madison (11-7-1) converted the game-winning goal with just under 11 minutes to play in regulation, as Haley Crawford put the Dukes ahead with her ninth goal of the year. Morgan Sherman’s left-footed shot from the top of the box caught the crossbar and landed at Crawford’s feet, where she converted the rebound from six yards out.
