JMU Advances to WNIT Third Round

HARRISONBURG, Va. (March 17, 2018) - The Dukes are headed to the WNIT Third Round for the second time in as many seasons. James Madison jumped out to a 13-0 lead and held Radford to single digits in three quarters for the 62-35 victory.
James Madison awaits the winner of Sunday's contest between West Virginia and Saint Joseph's. Date, time, and location will be determined at the conclusion of tomorrow's game.
Sophomore
Lexie Barrier continued to have the hot-hand, posting a game-high 19 points.
Kamiah Smalls finished with 17 points and six rebounds while
Kelly Koshuta tallied 16 points and six rebounds.
Logan Reynolds dished out five assists and grabbed five boards.
James Madison (23-10) held Radford (24-9) to 26.5 percent (13-53) shooting and out-rebounded them 49-26.
Including 2018, at least one CAA squad has advanced to the WNIT Third Round nine times since the field expanded in 2007. James Madison will make their fifth appearance in the third round. The Dukes will be seeking to advance to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2013.
