RICHMOND, Va. (Oct. 15, 2019) – William & Mary’s Jack Doherty and Northeastern’s Megan Clark collected Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Swimmer of the Week honors, while UNCW’s Kolbein Bjugan and James Madison’s Faith Anderson were named CAA Divers of the Week.
 
MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Jack Doherty, William & Mary
Senior | Middletown, Conn./Middletown
Doherty put in a strong performance for the Tribe on the road at East Carolina. He broke his own dual-meet record in the 100 fly with a time of 49.12 to finish second in the event. He also swam on the Tribe’s “A” relays in the 200 medley and the 400 free, both of which finished second. The time of 3:03.23 in the 400 free relay is the best in the league so far this season.
 
MEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK
Kolbein Bjugan, UNCW
Freshman | Midlothian, Va./Trinity Episcopal
In UNCW’s win over Old Dominion, Bjugan won on both the one- and three-meter boards. He tallied a score of 280.85 on the one-meter and 306.45 on the three meter.
 
WOMEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Megan Clark, Northeastern
Senior | Fairfax Station, Va./South County
Clark took home two individual titles in the Huskies’ dual meet against James Madison. She captured gold in the 50 free with a time of 23.77 and in the 100 free with a time of 50.83. She also anchored the 200 medley relay team that placed first in a time of 1:46.72.
 
WOMEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK
Faith Anderson, James Madison
Junior | Palestine, Ohio/East Palestine
In JMU's first meet on the year, Faith Anderson won both the 1m and 3m events at Northeastern on Saturday. Both scores were NCAA Zone qualifying scores, earning a 300.91 on the 3-meter board and 298.42 in the 1-meter event. Anderson's score on the 1-meter board was also a personal best score.
