Delaware 16, New Hampshire 10

Delaware (4-3, 2-1 CAA) got strong efforts from its defense and running game to get past New Hampshire, 16-10. The Blue Hens limited the Wildcats to 251 total yards and forced three turnovers, while UD running backs DeJoun Lee (23 carrries, 103 yards, 1 TD) and Will Knight (16 carries, 101 yards) both topped the century mark on the ground for the first time in their careers. New Hampshire (4-3, 3-1 CAA), which had its four-game winning streak snapped, took a 10-3 lead in the second quarter on Carlos Washington Jr.'s 4-yard run, but UD pulled even just before the half on Lee's 9-yard scoring run. Jake Roth booted field goals of 33 and 29 yards for the only points in the second half. Matt Palmer tallied nine tackles and an interception to pace the Blue Hens' defense, and Tim Poindexter also made nine stops. The Wildcats' defense, which held Delaware to 271 yards, got 10 tackles from Pop Bush and a pair of interceptions from Prince Smith, Jr.

James Madison (7-1, 4-0 CAA) turned in an impressive performance on both sides of the ball to pick up a 38-10 triumph at William & Mary for its seventh straight win. Ron'Dell Carter (10 tackles, 6.0 TFL, 1 sack) spearheaded a Dukes' defense that held the Tribe to 194 total yards, while Wayne Davis, D'Angelo Amos and Adam Smith picked off passes. Offensively, JMU quarterback Ben DiNucci completed 23-of-36 passes for 250 yards and 2 TD's, including a 16-yard strike to Brandon Polk late in the first quarter that put the Dukes on top for good. Percy Agyei-Obese ran for a team-high 68 yards on 18 carries and scored touchdowns on back-to-back drives in the second quarter. William & Mary (2-5, 0-3 CAA) got its lone touchdown in the third quarter on a 6-yard pass from Ted Hefter to Trey Zgombic on a fake field goal. The Tribe defense was paced by Latrelle Smith with nine tackles.

UAlbany 35, Rhode Island 28

UAlbany (5-3, 3-1 CAA) scored 29 second-half points and rallied past Rhode Island, 35-28. Great Danes' quarterback Jeff Undercuffler threw for 140 yards and four touchdowns, connecting twice with Juwan Green (5 rec., 91 yds, 2 TD's) and twice with tight end LJ Wesneski. UAlbany also got 101 yards on the ground from Karl Mofor. The Great Danes forced four turnovers and scored their fourth defensive touchdown of the year when Nick Griffin returned a fumble 55 yards in the third quarter to tie the contest at 14-14. Rhode Island (1-6, 0-4 CAA) got 320 yards and 2 TD's passing from quarterback Vito Priore, including a 4-yard toss to Aaron Parker that made it 21-21 late in the third quarter. However, Undercuffler delivered scoring passes to Green and Wesneski to put UA on top to stay.

Towson 56, Bucknell 7

Behind CAA record-tying performances from quarterback Tom Flacco and receiver Shane Leatherbury, Towson (4-3) rolled over Bucknell, 56-7, to end a three-game slide. Flacco completed 16-of-22 passes for 203 yards and matched a CAA mark with six touchdowns, while Leatherbury made six catches for 84 yards and tied a league record with five TD's. The duo did all of their damage in the first half as the Tigers built a commanding 42-7 advantage at the break. Towson also got 100-yard rushing efforts from Yeedee Thaenrat (8-112 yds) and Adrian Feliz-Platt (14-101). The Tigers' defense held Bucknell to just 161 total yards, including just six on the ground. Towson's D'Ago Hunter opened the second half with a 92-yard kickoff return for a TD.

Yale 28, Richmond 27

Yale scored two touchdowns in the final 1:23 and topped Richmond, 28-27. The Spiders led 20-7 at the break and pushed their advantage to 27-7 after Joe Mancuso hit Keyston Fuller with a 15-yard TD pass to cap a 70-yard drive to open the third quarter. UR was still up 27-14 late in the fourth quarter, but Yale quarterback Kurt Rawlings threw a 15-yard TD pass with 1:23 left to cut the gap to six. The Bulldogs then recovered an onside kick and Rawlings hit Reed Klubnik with a game-winning 16-yard scoring pass with nine seconds remaining. Mancuso finished 15-of-27 passing for 227 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for a team-best 117 yards on 13 carries. Tyler Dressler registered 15 tackles and 3.0 TFL to lead the Spiders defensively.

Liberty 59, Maine 44

Highlights

Despite a big night from freshman quarterback Joe Fagnano, Maine dropped a 59-44 shootout at FBS foe Liberty. Fagnano, making his first collegiate start, completed 25-of-37 passes for 445 yards and five touchdowns. The Black Bears had three receivers top the 100-yard mark as Earnest Edwards had six catches for 127 yards and 2 TD's, Devin Young had six catches for 106 yards and Andre Miller tallied five grabs for 108 yards and a TD. Maine, which finished with 572 yards of offense, fell behind 31-3 early in the second quarter and trailed 52-17 midway through the third period before Fagnano fired three straight TD passes to rally Maine within 52-37 with 12:39 remaining. Taji Lowe recorded 11 tackles to lead Maine defensively.
