Jawon Hamilton's 3-yard touchdown run in overtime was the difference as James Madison (5-1, 2-0 CAA) outlasted Stony Brook, 45-38. In a game that was tight throughout, the Dukes took a 38-28 lead on Percy Ajyei-Obese's 3-yard scoring run early in the fourth quarter. The Seawolves (4-2, 1-1 CAA) responded with a 1-yard TD run by Ty Son Lawton and then forced the extra session when Nick Courtney delivered a career-long 47-yard field goal with five seconds to play. After JMU took the lead in overtime on Hamilton's run, Stony Brook just missed converting a 4th-and-18 pass into the endzone. JMU finished with 547 yards of total offense, including 329 on the ground. Quarterback Ben DiNucci was 13-of-17 passing for 218 yards and a TD and also ran for 80 yards and a score. Hamilton rushed for 105 yards and 2 TD's and Ajyei-Obese added 96 yards and 2 TD's. Stony Brook piled up 435 yards of offense, with quarterback Tyquell Fields completing 15-of-30 passes for 318 yards and 2 TD's. Lawton ran for a career-high 108 yards and 3 TD's on 27 carries.

Richmond 23, UAlbany 20

Behind a dominant defensive effort, Richmond (2-3, 1-1 CAA) held off UAlbany, 23-20, to pick up its first conference victory of the season. The Spiders recorded a season-high seven sacks, intercepted two passes and held the Great Danes to 14 yards rushing. Leading the way were defensive end Maurice Jackson, who recorded 4.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sack, a forced fumble and an interception, as well as Kobie Turner, who had seven tackles, 3.0 TFL's and 2.0 sacks. UR quarterback Beau English passed for 121 yards, including a 61-yard TD strike to Keyston Fuller, and ran for a 1-yard score that put the Spiders up 23-13 at the half. UAlbany (3-3, 1-1 CAA) was led offensively by quarterback Jeff Undercuffler, who was 15-of-31 passing for 288 yards and three touchdowns, which was the sixth straight game that he's thrown at least 2 TD passes. Jerah Reeves made five catches for 115 yards, highlighted by a 20-yard TD catch that brought UAlbany within 23-20 with 2:47 to play.

New Hampshire 26, Elon 10

New Hampshire (3-2, 2-0 CAA) forced five turnovers, including a pair of pick sixes, as the Wildcats defeated Elon, 26-10, for their third straight victory. Freshman Oleh Manzyk had a 55-yard interception return for a TD in the first quarter and junior Evan Horn followed with a 50-yard interception for a score that put UNH on top, 20-10, just before halftime. Offensively, the Wildcats got 89 yards on the ground from Evan Gray and 73 from Carlos Washington, Jr. The UNH defense, which limited Elon to 267 total yards, was led by Pop Lacey with 10 tackles and an interception and Manszyk, who had eight tackles and three sacks. For Elon, Cheek threw for 184 yards, while Jaylan Thomas rushed for 52 yards, including a 13-yard TD run in the second quarter. It was a big day defensively for Greg Liggs, Jr., who intercepted three passes.

Villanova 35, William & Mary 28

Daniel Smith hit DeeWil Barlee with a 1-yard TD toss on 4th-and goal with 1:59 remaining to give Villanova (6-0, 3-0 CAA) a 35-28 win over William & Mary. In a back-and-forth game, Smith's third TD pass of the game capped a 16-play, 75-yard drive that took nearly eight minutes. Smith threw for 250 yards with freshman Jaaron Hayek making six catches for 83 yards and 2 TD's. William & Mary (2-4, 0-2 CAA) trailed 21-7 in the second quarter, but pulled even on a 16-yard TD pass from Kilton Anderson to Zach Burdick and a 2-yard scoring run by Bronson Yoder that made it 21-21 after three quarters. Hayek caught a 37-yard TD strike to Smith to put VU back on top, but the Tribe responded with a 20-yard TD pass from Anderson to Kane Everson. Anderson finished 25-of-33 passing for 245 yards and 3 TD's with Everson setting career-highs with 11 receptions for 131 yards and 2 TD's. Defensively, VU's Forrest Rhyne made a career-high 15 tackles and 2.5 sacks, while W&M's Corey Parker had 10 stops and a forced fumble.

Rhode Island 31, Brown 28

Vito Priore connected on a 14-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Parker with 5:43 remaining to lift Rhode Island to a 31-28 victory over Brown in the annual Governor's Cup game. Priore finished 31-of-44 passing for 389 yards and three touchdowns, while Parker had seven catches for 87 yards and two scores. It was also a career day for URI's Isaiah Coulter, who made 12 receptions for 171 yards and a TD. The Rams (1-4) took a 24-14 advantage in the third quarter on a 7-yard TD run by Zoe Bryant, but Brown responded with a pair of fourth-quarter scores to move on top, 28-24, with 8:20 left. URI responded with a 63-yard drive capped by Parker's TD catch to retake the lead. Defensively, URI linebacker Branyan Javier-Castillo recorded a team-best 11 tackles and picked off his second pass of the year.
