Phillip Goodrum have been named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men's Soccer Offensive Players of the Week, while William & Mary's
Kieran Baskett earned Defensive Player of the Week and Northeastern midfielder
Liam Murphy garnered CAA Rookie of the Week accolades.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Manuel Ferriol, James Madison
Senior | Midfielder | Valencia, Spain/Levante UD
For the third straight week, Ferriol earns player of the week accolades after helping James Madison to a 1-0-1 week and extending its unbeaten run to nine matches. The senior created chances all week for the Dukes, beginning with five shots in JMU's 1-0 overtime victory over No. 14 Cal State Fullerton. Against Northeastern, Ferriol helped start the Dukes' comeback from a 3-0 deficit, collecting his 10
th goal of the season on a penalty kick. The senior's 11
th goal of the year proved to be the equalizer in the 3-3 draw. Ferriol's 11 goals and 25 points are both already career highs.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Phillip Goodrum, UNCW

Goodrum scored a goal and added an assist in UNCW's 3-2 overtime victory over Hofstra, a victory that lifted the Seahawks into a tie atop the CAA table. In the 42
nd minute, Goodrum tied the match at 1-1 when he headed in a pass from Athit Berg. The senior assisted on Cannon Tootle's 79
th-minute goal that evened the score at 2-2 and sent the game into overtime. The senior is pacing the Seahawks with five goals and 13 points while starting all 10 games.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Kieran Baskett, William & Mary
Freshman | Goalkeeper | Halifax, Nova Scotia/McDonogh (Md.)
Baskett recorded six saves in the Tribe's 1-0 overtime win at Coastal Carolina on Saturday, helping William & Mary push its winning streak to three. Over those three victories, Baskett has collected shutouts in each match and currently has a 275:52-minute shutout streak. Baskett's six saves marked his third match this season with six or more saves.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
Liam Murphy, Northeastern
Freshman | Midfielder | Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay
For the second time in three weeks, Murphy earns rookie of the week accolades, this time after recording three points in a week in which Northeastern earned two draws. Against Hartford, Murphy tallied the equalizing goal in an eventual 1-1 draw. In the Huskies' 3-3 draw with No. 16 James Madison, Murphy helped push Northeastern out to a 3-0 lead, assisting on the third goal of the match.
