RICHMOND, Va. (November 18, 2019) – CAA Football has announced its weekly award winners for Week 12 of the 2019 season. Earning honors are Towson senior running back Yeedee Thaenrat, James Madison senior linebacker Dimitri Holloway, Maine senior wide receiver/returner Earnest Edwards and Delaware freshman running back Will Knight.
 
CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week
Yeedee Thaenrat, Sr., RB, Towson (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge)
 
Thaenrat rushed for a career-high 158 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in Towson’s 31-10 victory at William & Mary. The senior found the end zone from 3 yards out on the Tigers’ first possession of the game after setting up the score with a career-best 51-yard run. Thaenrat averaged 6.6 yards per carry and tallied the most yards by a Towson running back since 2016. He leads the CAA with 14 rushing TD’s.
 
CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week
Dimitri Holloway, Sr., LB, James Madison (Newport News, Va./Heritage)
 
Holloway recorded a season-high 15 tackles, a tackle for loss, a half-sack and a fumble recovery as James Madison beat Richmond, 48-6. It was the fourth double-digit tackle effort of the year for Holloway and his league-leading third fumble recovery. He helped spearhead a JMU defense that held UR to 265 total yards and a season-low six points while forcing four turnovers that led to 17 points.

CAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Earnest Edwards, Sr., WR/RET, Maine (Rochester, N.Y./Aquinas Institute)
 
Edwards tallied 128 return yards in Maine’s 34-30 win over Rhode Island. The senior averaged 25.0 yards on four kick returns and had a 28-yard punt return that set up a Black Bears’ TD in the third quarter. It was part of a tremendous all-around effort for Edwards, who finished with 259 all-purpose yards, caught a game-winning TD pass with 34 seconds left and recorded a tackle on a Hail Mary pass to end the game.

CAA Football Rookie of the Week
Will Knight, Fr., RB, Delaware (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna)
 
Knight rushed for a team-high 108 yards on 17 carries, including a game-winning 21-yard TD run with 10:18 remaining, as Delaware defeated Stony Brook, 17-10. It was the fourth 100-yard effort of the year for Knight, who also caught two passes for 28 yards. Knight has a team-best 830 rushing yards for the season, which is the 3rd-most ever for a Delaware freshman.
