Going Deep: Maine's Charlton Brings Unique Philosophy To Coaching

Maine head football coach Nick Charlton has followed a unique path to becoming the youngest head coach in the FCS. A philosophy major at Boston College, he didn't play for the Eagles but served as the team's student manager. His success in that role led to a job as a graduate assistant coach at BC and eventually his first full-time coaching position at Maine.

In our inaugural Going Deep feature of the 2019 season, we look at how Nick's background has allowed him to make strong connections with his players as he has risen quickly up the coaching ranks.
