UNCW, Hofstra, James Madison, And Northeastern Comprise Field For 2021 CAA Women's Soccer Championship Presented By Primis

Nina Dooley propelled the Huskies to a 1-0 win over William & Mary and helped Northeastern join UNCW, Hofstra, and James Madison at the 2021 CAA Women’s Soccer Championship presented by Primis, to be played November 4 & 7 in Elon, North Carolina.
UNCW’s
Kara Mills scored in the 94
th minute to earn the Seahawks a 1-0 win over Towson, the CAA regular season championship, and the No. 1 seed in the CAA Championship. The Seahawks are in the field for the third-straight season and finish the regular season atop the table at 21 points.
A 6-0 win by Hofstra in the season’s final day earned the Pride the No. 2 seed in next weekend’s championship. Hofstra, which has been ranked in at least one of the national polls in every week this season, qualifies for its fifth-consecutive CAA Championship with a 19-point regular season.
James Madison places third with 18 points after finishing the regular season by winning its final four games. The Dukes are back in the field for the first time since 2019, which concluded a stretch of seven consecutive appearances in the CAA Championship.
Northeastern finishes the regular season fourth with 15 points, as Sunday’s win in Williamsburg lifted the Huskies to their 11
th-consecutive CAA Championship appearance. Northeastern went 5-2-0 to close the regular season and advance to the CAA Semifinals.
Top-seeded UNCW will face fourth-seeded Northeastern in Thursday’s first semifinal at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4. That match will be followed by Hofstra and James Madison at 7:30 p.m. The final is set for Sunday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m.
