RICHMOND, Va. (October 4, 2021) – CAA Football has announced its weekly award winners for Week 5 of the 2021 season. Rhode Island junior quarterback Kasim Hill earned Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Elon junior defensive back Cole Coleman and James Madison junior linebacker Diamonte Tucker-Dorsey shared Defensive Player of the Week accolades. Delaware junior kicker Ryan Coe was chosen as the Special Teams Player of the Week and New Hampshire freshman defensive back Noah Palm was named Rookie of the Week.
 
CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week
Kasim Hill, Jr., QB, Rhode Island (Washington, D.C./St. John’s College)
 
Hill accounted for 292 yards of offense and two touchdowns as Rhode Island edged Stony Brook, 27-20, in overtime. The junior was 21-of-37 passing for 226 yards, including a game-winning 27-yard TD pass to Caleb Warren in overtime. He also rushed for 66 yards, highlighted by an 8-yard scoring run that gave URI a 20-13 lead in the fourth quarter.
 
CAA Football Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Cole Coleman, Jr., DB, Elon (Raleigh, N.C./Leesville Road)
 
Coleman contributed eight tackles, 1.0 TFL and a pass breakup in Elon’s 20-7 victory at No. 22 Richmond. The Phoenix held the Spiders scoreless over the final 50 minutes of the contest and stopped UR on three second-half possessions that ended inside the 5-yard line. Coleman had seven of his eight tackles on those three drives.

CAA Football Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Diamonte Tucker-Dorsey, Jr., LB, James Madison (Norfolk, Va./Lake Taylor)
 
Tucker-Dorsey intercepted a pass with 1:45 remaining to seal James Madison’s 23-21 victory at New Hampshire. The junior linebacker’s first career pickoff came after UNH had driven into JMU territory. Tucker-Dorsey also had five tackles and 0.5 TFL as the Dukes limited the Wildcats to 162 total yards and just seven offensive points.

CAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Ryan Coe, Jr., PK, Delaware (McDonald, Pa./South Fayette)

Coe kicked a pair of field goals for the fourth consecutive game in Delaware’s 20-15 triumph over UAlbany. The junior connected on kicks of 44 and 21 yards against the Great Danes and is now 8-for-8 on field goals and 10-for-10 on extra points this season. Coe also forced touchbacks on four of his five kickoffs.

CAA Football Rookie of the Week
Noah Palm, Fr., DB, New Hampshire (Lancaster Pa./Cocalico)
 
Palm recorded eight tackles, 1.0 TFL and returned a fumble 93 yards for a touchdown in New Hampshire’s narrow 23-21 setback to James Madison. With the Wildcats trailing 10-0 in the second quarter, Palm picked up a fumble and went nearly the length of the field to pull his team within three. Palm has made 23 stops over the past two games.
