RICHMOND, Va. (Nov. 14, 2021) – A career day for Elon’s
Zac Ervin highlighted the day among CAA men’s basketball teams, while Drexel gave Syracuse a battle in the Carrier Dome.
Elon 89, Bluefield 72 | Box Score
Elon won for the second time in three days, led by a 29-point, eight-rebound effort from
Zac Ervin. The Phoenix received a pair of double-doubles in the win, as
Darius Burford scored 18 points and added 12 rebounds, while
Michael Graham added 11 points and 11 rebounds. Elon is 2-1 entering Thursday’s Charleston Classic opener against West Virginia (9 p.m., ESPN2).
Syracuse 75, Drexel 60 | Box Score
Drexel led at the half in its visit to the Dome, but the host Orange shot 63% in the second half to hold off the Dragons in a game on ESPN2.
Mate Okros led the Dragons with 16 points, while
Camren Wynter added 11 in the defeat. Drexel is back in action on Wednesday with a crosstown clash at Saint Joseph’s (7 p.m., ESPN+).
