Elon head coach Charlotte Smith became the winningest coach in Phoenix program history following a 76-66 win over North Carolina A&T Monday night. Ariana Nance had a career night to lead the Phoenix to victory. Nance set career-highs with 19 points, six field goals (6-11), five three-point field goals (5-8) and four assists, adding three rebounds, two steals and one block. Brie Perpignan and Evonna McGill each scored 16 points for Elon. Perpignan added eight assists and five rebounds, while McGill recorded six rebounds and two blocks. Kayla Liles was the fourth scorer in double figures, adding 10 points with six rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Maya Johnson contributed a season-high nine points of the bench for the Phoenix. Elon knocked down a season-high 10 three-points field goals on 19 attempts, shooting 52.6% behind the arc. The Phoenix are off to a 4-0 start for the first time since 2017-18. Elon will visit No. 1, South Carolina, the day after Thanksgiving for a 3 p.m. (SECN+) tipoff.
