CAA Field Hockey Awards – Mar. 23
RICHMOND, Va. (Mar. 23, 2021) – For the second consecutive week, Delaware’s Femke Strien was named Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Field Hockey Player of the Week while Drexel’s Eline Di Leva received CAA Rookie of the Week accolades.

Strien totaled six points including two goals and two assists in back-to-back victories for the Blue Hens last week. In Delaware’s conference opener, Strien assisted on two of the Blue Hens’ four goals to beat Towson 4-0. Then in a matchup with Temple, Strien was on the scoring end of two goals in a 4-0 victory over the Owls. Strien leads the CAA in points (9) and points per game (3.00) and is tied atop the league in goals (3).
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Eline Di Leva, Drexel

Di Leva lead Drexel to a 1-0 start in CAA Conference play scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over Hofstra. Drexel fell behind 1-0 and trailed at the half. However, in the third period, Di Leva scored the equalizer to knot the score. She struck again just three minutes into the final quarter to give the Dragon a 2-1 lead that they would sustain the remainder of the way. Di Leva has three goals in three games to begin her collegiate career and is tied for the most goals scored in the CAA this season.
