Pairings Set For 2021 CAA Women's Basketball Championship

CAA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET
RICHMOND, Va. (March 5, 2021) – The pairings are set for the 2021 CAA Women’s Basketball Championship, presented by SonaBank, which will be held March 10-13 at Schar Center on the campus of Elon University in Elon, N.C.
First-round action opens on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. as eighth-seeded Charleston (6-8, 2-6 CAA) faces #9 UNCW (5-14, 2-11 CAA).
The CAA quarterfinals tip off at 11 a.m. on Thursday with #4 Towson (13-8, 8-6 CAA) meeting #5 Hofstra (7-11, 5-7 CAA). At 2:30 p.m., top-seeded Delaware (19-3, 16-2 CAA) takes on the Charleston/UNCW winner. Second-seeded James Madison (13-9, 9-6 CAA) faces #7 Northeastern (7-12, 6-10 CAA) at 6 p.m., followed by #3 Drexel (11-8, 8-6 CAA) against #6 Elon (7-7, 3-5 CAA) at 9:30 p.m.
The semifinal games of the CAA Women’s Basketball Championship are set for 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, with the two winners facing off for the conference title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 13. There will be no public sale of tickets for the CAA Women’s Basketball Championship. Attendance at the championship will be limited to families and guests of student-athletes and coaches.
