Delaware, JMU Earn Berths In NCAA FCS Playoffs

RICHMOND, Va. (April 18, 2021) – Delaware and James Madison received berths in the 16-field for the NCAA Division I Football Championship on Sunday. It marks the 30th straight year that the league has gotten two teams in the playoffs.

JMU (5-0, 3-0 CAA) received the #3 overall seed in the playoffs and will host Southern Conference champion VMI at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The Dukes are making their seventh consecutive playoff appearance and have reached the FCS championship game in three of the past four years.

Delaware (5-0, 4-0 CAA) will host Northeast Conference champion Sacred Heart at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The Blue Hens earned a playoff berth for the second time in the past three years.
