CAA Field Hockey Weekly Awards – Apr. 20
RICHMOND, Va. (Apr. 20, 2021) – The final edition of the Colonial Athletic Association’s (CAA) Field Hockey weekly awards features James Madison’s Eveline Zwager as the CAA Player of the Week while Delaware’s Julia Duffhuis earned CAA Rookie of the Week accolades.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Eveline Zwager, James Madison

Zwager led the Dukes to a pair of wins over CAA foes to complete an undefeated regular season in conference play. She tallied seven points, on three goals and an assist in victories over Delaware and Northeastern. First, against Delaware, Zwager scored both goals in a 2-1 win for the Dukes. Three minutes and 28 seconds after the Blue Hens got on the board in the second quarter, Zwager netted the equalizer to tie the game at one. Then in the fourth quarter, she gave the Dukes the advantage with her second goal of the game with under 10 minutes remaining in the contest. Against Northeastern, Zwager tallied a goal and an assist in the Dukes’ 3-0 victory. In the first period, she helped get the scoring started recording her first assist of the season on a Lauren Satchell goal. Later in quarter number two, Zwager got on the board herself netting her fifth goal of the season. Zwager leads the CAA in points per game (1.83) and goals per game (0.83) this season.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Julia Duffhuis, Delaware

Duffhuis scored three goals in three games for the Blue Hens in a 2-1 week. In Delaware’s season finale versus Hofstra, Duffhuis initiated the scoring recording the first goal of the game and the Blue Hens never trailed going on to win the game 4-2. She also added a goal the game before as Delaware defeated Drexel 5-1. Additionally, Duffuis scored the first goal of the game to give Delaware a 1-0 advantage against James Madison however the Blue Hens fell to the Dukes 2-1. Duffuis currently ranks third in the CAA in both goals per game (0.57) and shots per game (2.86) this spring.
