Villanova's Kpassagnon Makes Impact In New Orleans Saints Debut
Rob Washburn
RICHMOND, Va. (September 14, 2021) – Former Villanova defensive end
Tanoh Kpassagnon made an impact in his first game as a member of the New Orleans Saints last Sunday, headlining the performances by former CAA Football players during Week 1 of the NFL season.
Kpassagnon, who was a starter for the Kansas City Chiefs during back-to-back Super Bowl runs in 2019 and 2020, contributed two tackles, two quarterback hurries and forced a fumble on a sack of Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Jordan Love, helping the Saints to a 38-3 victory in his first game with the team.
Former Delaware linebacker
Troy Reeder tallied four tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass deflection in the Los Angeles Rams’ 34-14 win over the Chicago Bears. His Blue Hens’ teammate,
Nasir Adderley, had two tackles and averaged 17.5 yards on kick in returns to help the Los Angeles Chargers beat the Washington Football Team, 20-16.
Adderley was one of three CAA Football players to start last week, joining former Delaware defensive end
Bilal Nichols with the Chicago Bears and former Elon offensive lineman
Oli Udoh with the Minnesota Vikings.
