RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 24, 2022) – All 17 CAA baseball and softball programs will be in action at once for the first time in 2022 as the Colonial Athletic Association spring schedule heats up.
Softball: This weekend will feature all eight CAA softball teams in action for the first time this season. Hofstra and James Madison will face top-five opponents in the Sunshine State. The Pride will square off with No. 3 Florida State at FSU’s Unconquered Invitational, while the Dukes will play a neutral site contest against No. 4 Florida at the UCF Knights Classic. Drexel will head to Miami for the FIU Invitational. Additionally, Delaware and Towson hit the road traveling to North Carolina as the Blue Hens will play at the NC State Invitational in Raleigh, while the Tigers head to Greensboro for the UNCG Invitational. Charleston, Elon and UNCW are slated to compete at home. The Cougars and Seahawks will host home invitationals, while Elon welcomes St. Bonaventure for a three-game series. |

Baseball: All nine CAA baseball teams are in action this weekend. Unbeaten UNCW hosts Ball State, Rutgers and Illinois in the Carolinas Coastline Classic. Elon, JMU and Charleston are also at home as the Phoenix face Longwood, the Dukes welcome Fairleigh Dickinson and the Cougars challenge Siena. Hofstra makes its debut under new coach Frank Catalanotto with a three-game series at Houston Baptist. Delaware returns to Florida for a series at Florida Atlantic and Towson heads to Louisiana for a pair of games against Southern and 11
th-ranked LSU. Northeastern and William & Mary have neutral site contests as the Huskies play Minnesota, Marshall and Merrimack in Florida, while the Tribe has Sunday games with Maine and Penn State in North Carolina. |

Women’s Lacrosse: Four CAA teams are in action this weekend with two hosting ranked opponents. Elon will open the competition Friday when No. 22 Vanderbilt visits Rudd Field (1 p.m., FloLive) before a pair of noon Saturday clashes on FloLive involve Hofstra hosting Fairfield and No. 18 James Madison welcoming High Point. Sunday’s slate is highlighted by Towson’s visit from No. 10 Michigan (1 p.m., FloLive), while Elon will open the day at home against Coastal Carolina (12 p.m., FloLive). |

Men’s Lacrosse: All six men’s lacrosse teams are in action this weekend, with Hofstra hosting Long Island rival LIU to kick things off on Friday (3 p.m., FloLive) before facing either St. John’s or Stony Brook on Sunday. On Saturday, No. 17 Delaware, Drexel and Towson will host home games at noon. The Blue Hens will entertain future #CAALax member Monmouth, the Dragons welcome UAlbany to Vidas Field and the Tigers conclude a four-game homestand, hosting Richmond. All three contests can be viewed on FloLive. Fairfield and UMass will hit the road for 1 p.m. games as the Stags travel to Villanova and the Minutemen visit Boston University (ESPN+). |

Golf: Three women’s programs will tee off with two – Delaware and Elon – in Charleston for the Rivertowne Invitational. Meanwhile, Charleston will cross the country to compete in Peoria, Arizona, at the Westbrook Invitational. Three men’s programs – Drexel, Elon, and James Madison – will meet up in Puerto Rico for the Dorado Beach Collegiate.
Tennis: Eight CAA men’s and women’s tennis teams return to the court this weekend. A conference battle between JMU and William & Mary highlights the men’s schedule. Delaware (Richmond and Bucknell), Drexel (Boston U), Elon (Gardner-Webb), Hofstra (Marist) and W&M (Brown) are at home in other men’s action, while Charleston (Wofford) and UNCW (North Florida and South Alabama) are on the road. Six CAA women’s teams - Charleston (New Orleans), Drexel (Fordham), Elon (Methodist and Pfeiffer), Hofstra (Marist), Towson (Fairleigh Dickinson) and William & Mary (Penn) – will try to benefit from home court advantage. Facing tough road tests are JMU at #55 Mississippi State and Delaware at VCU.
