RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 28, 2022) – Towson outscored Delaware 40-19 in the final 18:42 of a suspended game resumed 32 days later to lift the Tigers to a 69-57 victory on Monday night, earning Towson a share of its first Colonial Athletic Association regular season men’s basketball title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming CAA Championship Presented by Jersey Mike’s.
Towson shares the regular-season crown with UNCW at 15-3 in league play, marking the first time since 2011-12 that two teams reached the 15-win mark in the CAA regular season.
