Jasmine Dickey Selected by Dallas Wings in the 2022 WNBA Draft

NEW YORK, N.Y (Apr. 11, 2022) – On Monday night, University of Delaware standout Jasmine Dickey became the third Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) student-athlete drafted in the WNBA Draft in the past three seasons. Dickey was selected in the third round with the 30th pick by the Dallas Wings.  
 
Dickey was a CAA All-Rookie team selection as a freshman before being named to the All-CAA Second Team and All-CAA Defensive Team as a Sophomore. She continued to excel, winning back-to-back CAA Player of the Year honors following her junior and senior campaigns, becoming the first back-to-back CAA player of the Year since former Blue Hen Elena Delle Donne in 2012 and 2013.
 
In addition to Player of the Year honors, Dickey was a First-Team All-CAA, All-CAA Defensive Team and CAA All-Tournament Team selection as a junior. This past season she collected All-CAA First Team honors along with CAA Player of the Year accolades and was the CAA Tournament’s Most Outstanding Performer, leading Delaware to its first CAA title and NCAA Tournament berth since 2013.
 
As a senior, Dickey received national recognition, being named a finalist for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award, in addition to earning All-American honorable mention from the Associated Press and Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
 
In her final season, the Baltimore, Md. native averaged the best numbers of her career, finishing third in the NCAA with 25.3 points per game and 783 total points. Additionally, she averaged 10.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.9 steals per contest while shooting 40.2 percent from the field and 80.9 percent from the free throw line.
 
Dickey tallied a career-best 19 double-doubles to rank 13th in the nation this season, including a career-high 52 points and 18 rebounds on February 4. She scored in double figures in 30 of her 31 appearances, scoring 50-plus once, 40-plus once, 30-plus six times and 20-plus on 17 occasions. 
 
Dickey concluded her career in the Blue & Gold uniform totaling 1,981 points, 1,038 rebounds, 213 steals, 192 assists, 82 steals and 48 double-doubles. She is one of six players in Delaware program history, with 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career. Dickey leaves Delaware second all-time in career points and double-doubles, fourth all-time in career rebounds, and seventh all-time in career steals.
