RICHMOND, Va. (April 25, 2022) – James Madison junior Isabella Peterson, Hofstra senior Anna Kaufmann, and William & Mary freshman Serena Jacobs have been selected as the Colonial Athletic Association weekly award winners for women’s lacrosse.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Isabella Peterson, James Madison
Junior | Attack | Sparks, Md. / Hereford
Peterson is CAA Player of the Week for the fifth time this season after her performance in No. 11 James Madison’s hard-fought 14-11 win over Delaware on Saturday. The junior from Maryland scored four goals – including the game-winner – while collecting six draw controls as the Dukes won their ninth-straight game. Peterson is the first five-time Player of the Week since Hofstra’s Alyssa Parrella in 2019.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Anna Kaufmann, Hofstra
Senior | Defense | Wantagh, N.Y. / Wantagh
Kaufmann collects weekly honors for the first time in her career after helping Hofstra hold William & Mary under its season scoring average in an 18-11 victory in Williamsburg. The senior from Long Island secured a career-best four ground balls and tied her career high with two caused turnovers in a pivotal win for Hofstra, which held W&M to five goals over the final three quarters.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Serena Jacobs, William & Mary
Freshman | Midfield | Vienna, Va. / Georgetown Visitation
Jacobs is CAA Rookie of the Week for the third time this season after her contributions in William & Mary’s setback vs. Hofstra on Saturday. The freshman from Northern Virginia led the Tribe with four goals on six shots and added two draw controls. Jacobs is the first to win three weekly rookie honors this season; the two players to achieve the feat in 2021 are the two most-recent Players of the Week, Peterson and Drexel’s Corinne Bednarik.
