CAA Announces 2022-23 Women’s Basketball Conference Schedule

RICHMOND, Va. (Aug. 16, 2022) – The Colonial Athletic Association has announced its women’s basketball conference schedule for the 2022-23 season.
Teams will play an 18-game conference slate against all 12 league foes that features six repeat opponents, three home-only opponents and three away-only opponents. It will be the first time since the 2012-13 season that the league has not played a full double round-robin schedule. In total, each team will play nine home games and nine road games.
CAA play begins Thursday, December 29, with a pair of games as Charleston visits Towson and Drexel travels to UNCW. Eight more teams open league play the following day, including newcomers North Carolina A&T, Monmouth and Stony Brook playing their first conference games in the CAA. The conference wraps up the opening weekend of league play by reigning in the New Year with six games on Sunday, January 1, including the CAA debut of Hampton.
League games will be played on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays throughout the winter before concluding the final week of the regular season with six games on Saturday, March 4.
The league accommodated regional rivalries with input from the institutions throughout the process for the selection of repeat opponents, which were announced in July. All conference games will be available nationally on FloHoops, with some contests on various regional sports networks on the East Coast.
All 13 teams will qualify for the 2023 CAA Women’s Basketball Championship presented by Primis, to be played March 8-12 at SECU Arena in Towson, Md. on the campus of Towson University.
