Four CAA Football Teams Ranked In Final Regular Season FCS Top 25 Polls

RICHMOND, Va. (November 20, 2023) – Four CAA Football teams were ranked in the final regular season FCS Top 25 polls released by Stats Perform and the AFCA on Monday.
Villanova (9-2) achieved its highest ranking of the season at #6 in the Stats poll and #9 in the AFCA poll following its 35-7 victory at Delaware last week. The Wildcats received the No. 8 national seed for the FCS playoffs and will return to action on Dec. 2.
UAlbany (9-3) also received its highest ranking of the year, jumping to #9 in the Stats poll and #15 in the AFCA poll after defeating Monmouth, 41-0, last Saturday. The Great Danes earned the No. 5 national seed for the FCS playoffs and are off until Dec. 2.
Delaware (8-3) slipped to #11 in the Stats rankings and #12 in the AFCA rankings following its setback to Villanova. The Blue Hens face Patriot League champion Lafayette in the first round of the FCS playoffs on Saturday.
Richmond (8-3) climbed back into both polls this week following its 27-26 win at William & Mary last Saturday. The Spiders, who will entertain North Carolina Central in the first round of the FCS playoffs on Saturday, are ranked #22 by Stats and #25 by the AFCA.
Rhode Island (6-5) and
William & Mary (6-5) were among others receiving votes in the AFCA poll.
