For the second consecutive season, four CAA teams have reached the second round of the NCAA FCS playoffs. Richmond, which defeated North Carolina Central, 49-27, in the first round, visits fellow CAA champion UAlbany, which received a No. 5 national seed and first-round bye. It's the first time since 2017 that two CAA teams have faced off in the second round. Villanova, which secured a No. 8 national seed after earnng a share of the CAA title, hosts Youngstown State, while Delaware travels to No. 2 Montana after beating Lafayette, 36-34, in first-round action last week. All three games can be seen on ESPN+.

CAA teams are 19-18 overall and 15-14 against non-conference competition in the second round of the FCS playoffs, which started in 2010 with the expansion of the bracket. The CAA has had at least two teams in the second round every year since 2010 and has had at least one team reach the quarterfinals every year since 1995.
