United Soccer Coaches Name 15 CAA Men’s Players to All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 5, 2023) – United Soccer Coaches voters recognized CAA players with 15 of the 33 spots on the Men’s All-Atlantic Region Team announced Tuesday.
Five players from Hofstra, four from Monmouth, two each from Elon and Stony Brook, and one from UNCW and Northeastern received recognition from the coaches association.
First-team honorees included three players from Hofstra – forward
Ryan Carmichael, midfielder
Eliot Goldthorp, and defender
Pierce Infuso – along with Monmouth midfielder
Ben Zakowski. Goldthorp was CAA Player of the Year in 2023 and leads the nation in assists, Carmichael is second nationally in goals and points, and Infuso was CAA Championship Most Outstanding Player.
Second-team selections included two of the three forwards in Stony Brook’s
Jonas Bickus and Northeastern’s
Federico Tellez, midfielders
Pep Casas of UNCW and
Scott Vatne of Elon, Monmouth defenders
Olle Brorsson and
Gabe Dahlin, and Hofstra goalkeeper
Wessel Speel.
On the third team, Hofstra midfielder
Albert Kang was joined by defenders
Bas Beckhoven (Stony Brook) and
Franc Gamiz Quer (Elon) and Monmouth goalkeeper
Eryk Dymora.
All-America honors will be announced later this week.
