AUSTIN, Texas (March 14, 2023) - Charleston men's basketball graduate student
Dalton Bolon has been named to the the 2022-23 Academic All-America® men's basketball first team as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
Bolon is currently earning his Master of Arts in Communication degree from Charleston after already earning a bachelor and master's degree in biology from West Liberty. On the court, he is currently the team's leading scorer with 12.3 points per game entering the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. The Gnadenhutten, Ohio native was named the CAA Player of the Week on January 16 after averaging 18.5 points and 4.5 rebounds on 50% shooting and 50% from three in a 2-0 week against UNCW and Elon and was rewarded with a spot on the All-CAA first team.
The four Academic All-America® teams, totaling 55 players, have a 3.87 average grade-point average with 16 members posting a perfect 4.0 GPA. For more information, click
