PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (March 30, 2023) – Keishana Washington of the Drexel women's basketball garnered multiple All-America honors following one of the best individual seasons in CAA Women's Basketball history.

Thursday evening, the graduate guard collected her fourth honor this postseason, becoming the first Dragon in program history, named All-America Honorable Mention by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. On Wednesday, March 15, she was named Honorable Mention All-American by the Associated Press and by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. Also recognized for her combined effort on the court and in the classroom, she was a Second Team Academic All-American selection by College Sports Communicators.

Washington finished the year with a program record 858 points, which ranks third in the NCAA and is the second-highest single-season total in conference history. She was second nationally at 27.7 points per game and the only player in the country with four 40-plus-point performances, including a career-best 43 against Fordham in the First Round of the WNIT. Her single-season scoring average also ranks second all-time in league history.

In addition, Washington was among the top 10 nationally in field goals made (302 – 4th) and free throws made (197 – 7th). She was fifth in the CAA at 3.7 assists per contest and third with a 1.35 assist/turnover ratio.

The graduate student is the second Drexel women's basketball player to be named an All-American solely for her performance on the court. Gabriela Marginean was an Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American in 2010.

Washington is the 21st Academic All-American from Drexel, and it marks the 27th time a Dragon has earned the honor. She joins Michelle Maslowski, who was on the Third Team in 2002, as the only DU women's basketball players to receive the award.

In the classroom, the Pickering, Ontario native has a 4.0 GPA in her first year of graduate school and completed her undergraduate degree in psychology with a 3.74 GPA. She was the 2021-22 CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year and has been recognized four times on the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

It marks the second straight season CAA Women's Basketball has had a student-athlete garner All-America honors.
