Pairings Set For 2023 CAA Baseball Championship

RICHMOND, Va. (May 20, 2023) – Following a competitive regular-season race, the pairings are set for the 2023 CAA Baseball Championship, which will be held May 24-27 at the Ballpark at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
The six-team, double-elimination tournament gets underway on Wednesday, May 24 as fourth-seeded Charleston (34-20, 18-12 in CAA) faces #5 Delaware (29-27, 17-13 in CAA) at Noon, followed by #3 Northeastern (41-12, 20-10 in CAA) against #6 William & Mary (32-23, 15-15 in CAA) at 4 p.m.
On Thursday, action starts at 11 a.m. with an elimination game between the losers of Wednesday’s contests. Top-seeded UNCW (31-21, 20-8 in CAA) takes on the lowest-seeded winner from Wednesday’s games at 3 p.m., followed by #2 Elon (32-20, 19-9 in CAA) against the highest-seeded winner from Wednesday’s contests at 7 p.m.
Tournament action continues with three games on Friday and another at 1 p.m. on Saturday, setting the stage for the CAA championship game set at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
