RICHMOND, Va. (Jan. 1, 2024) – Drexel recorded one of its best offensive performances as a CAA member to open its league schedule 1-0 with a Monday matinee win over Hampton on CBS Sports Network.

Drexel scored its most regulation points against a Division I foe since its inaugural CAA campaign to open league play 1-0. The Dragons’ 99 points were the most in 40 minutes against a D1 opponent since defeating George Mason, 100-69, on Jan. 26, 2002, in Drexel’s 10th conference game as a CAA member. Mate Okros led five players in double figures for Drexel (8-6, 1-0) with 20 points, while making four of the Dragons’ 11 three-pointers. Drexel made its first seven three-point attempts and scored a season-high 55 first-half points. Kyrese Mullen contributed his eighth double-double of the year for Hampton (4-9, 0-1) with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
