Eight CAA Football Players Honored On 2023 FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team

RICHMOND, Va. (January 9, 2024) – CAA Football had eight players honored on the 2023 FCS Athletic Directors Association Academic All-Star Team, which was tied for the most of any conference.

Selected to the team from CAA Football were North Carolina A&T senior punter Caleb Brickhouse, New Hampshire graduate quarterback Max Brosmer, William & Mary graduate offensive lineman Marcus Crowell, UAlbany junior cornerback Aamir Hall, Delaware graduate wide receiver Chandler Harvin, UAlbany graduate linebacker Dylan Kelly, Richmond senior punter Aaron Trusler and Richmond senior linebacker Tristan Wheeler.

Brosmer is also one of 13 finalists for the $5,000 FCS ADA Postgraduate Scholarship. Two student-athletes will be chosen to receive the award by a panel of athletics directors.

A total of 52 individuals from a pool of 104 applicants were selected to the team. Each of the nominees were required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 in undergraduate or graduate study and have been a starter or key player with legitimate athletics credentials. They must have reached their second year of athletics and academic standing at the nominated institution and have completed a minimum of one full academic year at the nominated institution. They also must have participated in 50 percent of the games played at their designated position.
