#CAAFB Going Deep: Maine's Gillette Overcame Illness To Make An Impact On And Off The Field

Maine wide receiver Joe Gillette has overcome two battles with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and become a leader on and off the field for the Black Bears' football program. The preseason All-CAA honoree made 36 receptions for a team-high 570 yards and five touchdowns in 2023 and already has 151 receiving yards through four games this year, but his impact extends far beyond the field.
