Marius Stenner are the CAA men’s soccer weekly award winners for the week ending October 13.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sam Donnellan, Delaware
Senior| Forward | Newcastle, Australia / Kotara
Donnellan’s brace propelled Delaware to its second conference victory of the season in a 3-1 contest against UNCW. The senior forward broke the deadlock 20 minutes into the match before netting the Blue Hens’ third and final seven minutes into the second half. Two goals mark the third multi-goal contribution performance of the season for Donnellan, and his first time netting two this year.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Eryk Dymora, Monmouth
Redshirt Junior | Goalkeeper | Clifton, N.J. / Clifton
Now sitting in a tie for first in the conference, Dymora's shot-stopping ability kept William & Mary at bay in what proved to be a tight contest. Tallying his second-consecutive clean sheet and sixth of the season, the redshirt junior keeper tied his season-high of seven saves against the Tribe to earn the Monmouth its 12th point of the season. Following his heroics on the weekend, Dymora moved into first in the conference in save percentage at .860, and first in goals-against average at 0.667.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Marius Stenner, Delaware
Freshman | Forward | Svendborg, Denmark / Svendborg Handelsgymnasium
Earning his second CAA Rookie of the Week honor, Stenner had his hand in two of Delaware’s three goals against UNCW. The Danish forward came out firing in the second half netting a rebound off his own shot five minutes into the contest. Stenner turned provider less than two minutes later, assisting Donnellan for the Blue Hens’ third of the game. The freshman forward leads Delaware in points and goals at 21 tallies comprised of eight goals and five assists.
