Stony Brook Among Five CAA Football Teams Ranked In FCS Top 25 Polls

RICHMOND, Va. (October 21, 2024) – Stony Brook jumped into the Top 25 for the first time this season and was one of five CAA Football teams ranked in the FCS Top 25 polls released by Stats Perform and the AFCA on Monday.
 
Villanova (5-2) slid to #13 in the Stats poll and #14 in the AFCA poll after a 35-7 loss at Maine last week. The Wildcats return home to take on New Hampshire on Saturday.
 
Richmond (5-2) climbed to #13 in the AFCA poll and #18 in the Stats poll following a 28-9 triumph over previously unbeaten Delaware. The Spiders travel to Bryant this week.
 
William & Mary (5-2) was ranked #16 in the Stats poll and #15 in the AFCA poll after a 35-28 victory over Campbell. The Tribe visits Stony Brook on Saturday.
 
Rhode Island (6-1) moved up to #15 in the Stats rankings and #16 in the AFCA rankings after its 26-9 win at New Hampshire last week. The Rams entertain Maine this Saturday.
 
Stony Brook (5-2) was ranked #24 by the AFCA and received votes in the Stats poll following its 52-24 triumph at Towson last Saturday. The Seawolves entertain William & Mary this week.
 
Monmouth (4-3) and New Hampshire (4-3) were among others receiving votes in both polls, while Maine (4-3) received votes in the Stats poll for the first time.
 
Hampton (4-3) is #7 in the HBCU Football Media Poll, administered by BOXTOROW. The Pirates host Elon this Saturday.
