Janne Stoetzer are the CAA field hockey weekly award winners for the week ending October 27.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Valentine Van Hellemont, Drexel
Sophomore | Forward | Lier, Belgium / Sint-Aloysius Institute
Van Hellemont receives her second CAA Offensive Player of the Week award, following an impressive performance in conference play. The sophomore forward fired home three of the Dragon’s five goals in the win over William & Mary, notching her second hat trick of the season. Van Hellemont has tallied a league-leading 11 goals this season.
CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Anna Moors, Monmouth
Sophomore | Defender | Tilburg, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands / Odulphus Lyceum
Moors picks up her second CAA Defensive Player of the Week award, previously receiving the honor on Sept. 9. Moors had a stellar performance in Monmouth’s 6-1 victory over LIU on Sunday, providing at both ends of the field. Defensively, the sophomore helped anchor a Hawks defense that allowed three shots with two falling on target. On the attack, Moors recorded a hat trick and moved her season tally to a team-high eight goals.
CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Pieke Roos, Hofstra
Junior | Goalkeeper | Rotterdam, The Netherlands / Montessori Lyceum Rotterdam
Roos earns her second consecutive CAA Defensive Player of the Week award after posting a 1-1 record this past weekend. The Dutchwoman held strong between the posts making four saves en route to Hofstra’s second conference win of the season against Towson. Two days later, Roos had a career day in goal, making 17 saves against American, moving her to 107 stops on the season. The 2024 tally marks the junior’s first 100-save season in her career.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Janne Stoetzer, Delaware
Freshman | Forward | Nijmegen, Netherlands / Citadel College
Stoetzer receives her second CAA Rookie of the Week honor, previously earning the distinction on Sept. 30.
With just one game on the docket for Delaware this week, the freshman forward took the most of her opportunities contributing to both goals in a 2-1 win over Penn. With a goal and an assist, Stoetzer moves to a team lead in points (15), goals (5), and assists (5).
