OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Liza Suydam, Monmouth
Sophomore | Midfield | Lancaster, Pa. / Manheim Township
Suydam scored thrice in a two-win week, propelling Monmouth to the No. 1 seed in the upcoming CAA Championship. The sophomore from Pennsylvania led the Hawks to a 3-2 victory at Hofstra on Thursday with a brace and the game-winner before scoring a key insurance goal in Monmouth’s win over Hampton on Sunday.
CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kyla Burns, Delaware
Graduate Student | Goalkeeper | Ruby, N.Y. / Kingston
Burns made 10 saves against one goal allowed to help Delaware earn two draws and a trip to the CAA Championship. The grad student from Upstate New York made five stops in Thursday’s scoreless draw against Towson and five more in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Northeastern. Delaware is the No. 5 seed in the CAA Championship.
CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Shae Yocum, Charleston
Senior | Defense | Point Pleasant, N.J. / Point Pleasant Borough
Yocum played all 90 minutes on the backline as Charleston earned a CAA Championship berth. The senior from South Jersey helped hold Campbell to seven shots and two on goal in a 4-0 Cougars victory in Buies Creek. Charleston is the No. 6 seed in the CAA Championship.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Emma Johnson, Hofstra
Freshman | Defense | Redondo Beach, Calif. / Redondo Union
Johnson scored her first career goal in Thursday’s match against Monmouth. The freshman from Southern California tied the game at one before the Hawks emerged victorious. Hofstra is the No. 4 seed in the upcoming CAA Championship.
