Collin O’Connor are the winners of the CAA Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards for the first week of the 2024-25 season.

Brzovic put up the nation’s third-highest scoring average to start out Charleston at 2-0 in 2024-25. The CAA Preseason Player of the Year contributed 27 points and nine rebounds to Charleston’s 90-80 win over Southern Illinois in Sioux Falls on Monday, followed by 32 and 9 in Friday’s 86-71 home victory over South Florida. For the week, Brzovic averaged 30.5 points per game on 63.9% shooting with 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Collin O’Connor, Stony Brook
Freshman | Guard | Dayton, Ohio / Western Reserve Academy
O’Connor averaged 11.5 points on 59% shooting and hit the game-winner in Stony Brook’s first victory of the season. The guard from Ohio contributed seven points and five assists in Stony Brook’s season opener at No. 18 Marquette before a 16-point, seven-rebound performance at Central Michigan capped off by a game-winning layup with three seconds remaining. O’Connor added 4.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game in the opening week.
