Villanova, Richmond Move Into Top 10 In Latest FCS Top 25 Polls

RICHMOND, Va. (November 11, 2024) – Villanova and Richmond moved into the top 10 to lead four CAA Football teams ranked in the FCS Top 25 polls released by Stats Perform and the AFCA on Monday.
 
Villanova (8-2) rose to #8 in the AFCA rankings and #9 in the Stats rankings following a 31-3 victory over North Carolina A&T last Saturday. The Wildcats travel to Monmouth this week.
 
Richmond (8-2) climbed to #7 in the AFCA poll and #11 in the Stats poll after rallying over Campbell, 27-24, last Saturday for its eighth consecutive win. The Spiders are on the road at Hampton this week.
 
Stony Brook (8-2) rose to #16 in the Stats rankings and #17 in the AFCA rankings after beating UAlbany, 24-6, last Saturday. The Seawolves head to New Hampshire this week.
 
Rhode Island (8-2) fell to #15 in the Stats poll and #18 in the AFCA poll after a narrow 24-21 setback at Delaware, which ended a seven-game winning streak. The Rams welcome UAlbany on Saturday.
 
William & Mary (6-4) was among others receiving votes in both poll and New Hampshire (6-4) picked up votes in the Stats poll. The Tribe hosts Bryant on Saturday and the Wildcats entertain Stony Brook.
 
Hampton (5-5) Is ranked #10 in the HBCU FCS Coaches Poll. The Pirates are home against Richmond on Saturday.
