RICHMOND, Va. (December 9, 2024) – Northeastern junior guard Rashad King received CAA men’s basketball Player of the Week honors while Stony Brook freshman guard Collin O’Connor was selected as the CAA Rookie of the Week.
CAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

King averaged 19.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in Northeastern’s 2-0 week. The junior guard contributed a team-high 16 points, a season-best nine rebounds and seven assists in an 82-68 victory over La Salle and followed with a team-high 23 points and eight boards in a 78-75 win over Colgate. For the week, Evans shot 66.7% (14-21) from the floor, including 4-of-8 (50%) from 3-point range.
CAA ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Collin O’Connor, Stony Brook
Freshman | Guard | Dayton, Ohio / Western Reserve Academy
O’Connor scored 13 points on 5-of-9 FG shooting and added two rebounds and two assists in Stony Brook’s setback against Air Force last Saturday. The 13-point performance, which was more than twice his season scoring average, was his third double-digit outing of the year and best since Nov. 7.
