LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 21, 2024) – Seventy-five CAA Track and Field student-athletes, including 71 individual qualifiers and four relay teams, will compete in the NCAA East Region Preliminaries beginning Wednesday.
The road to the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships runs through Lexington, Ky., where the four-day East Region Preliminary will be held at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track & Field facility. The commencement of events begins at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, with the men’s hammer throw and concludes with the women’s 4x400m relay at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 25.
The top 12 finishers in each event qualify for the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in Eugene, Ore., at Historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon from June 5 through June 8.

Chastity Pickett is the top-ranked athlete in any event at fourth in the 400m hurdles. The highest seeds for the men include North Carolina A&T freshman
