Ashley Lavrich are the CAA women’s soccer weekly award winners for the week ending August 25.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Loren Gehret, Monmouth
Sophomore | Forward | Elysburg, Pa. / Southern Columbia
Gehret registered six points on two goals and two assists as Monmouth stayed undefeated with a 6-0 rout of UAlbany and a 1-1 draw with No. 21 Virginia Tech. The sophomore from Pennsylvania notched two goals and an assist in the Hawks’ runaway win Thursday night and assisted on Monmouth’s lone goal against the Hokies.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sierra Vance, Campbell
Junior | Goalkeeper | Fairfax, Va. / Bishop O’Connell
Vance recorded eight saves against one goal allowed in an undefeated week for Campbell. The junior from Northern Virginia made three stops and helped the Camels to the program’s first win over NC State on Thursday night before a season-high five saves in a scoreless draw against East Carolina on Sunday night.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ashley Lavrich, Monmouth
Freshman | Forward/Midfield | Birdsboro, Pa. / Twin Valley
Lavrich’s eighth-minute goal helped Monmouth to a 1-1 draw against No. 21 Virginia Tech on Sunday in West Long Branch. The freshman from Pennsylvania’s first career goal put the Hawks in front and was her only shot of the game.
