CAA Football Has Five Teams Ranked In Latest FCS Top 25 Polls

RICHMOND, Va. (September 30, 2024) – CAA Football has five teams ranked in the latest FCS Top 25 polls released by Stats Perform and the AFCA on Monday.
 
Villanova (4-1) moved up to #5 in the AFCA rankings and remained at #6 in the Stats rankings after defeating LIU, 24-10, last week. The Wildcats return to CAA play on Saturday at Stony Brook.
 
William & Mary (4-1) climbed to #10 in the AFCA poll and is ranked #12 by Stats following its 49-7 triumph over Hampton. The Tribe travels to Towson this week.
 
New Hampshire (3-1), which was off last week, is ranked #16 by the AFCA and #21 by Stats. The Wildcats are back in action on Friday night at Harvard.
 
Rhode Island (3-1), which also had a bye last week, moved up to #20 in the Stats poll and is ranked #25 in the AFCA poll. The Rams are on the road at Hampton this Saturday.
 
Richmond (3-2) rose to #21 in the AFCA poll and was the top team among other receiving votes in the Stats poll after winning 27-17 at Elon last week. The Spiders entertain North Carolina A&T this Saturday.
 
Stony Brook (4-1) and Monmouth (3-2) were among others receiving votes in both polls, while UAlbany (1-3) picked up a vote in the AFCA poll.
 
In addition, Hampton (3-2) was ranked #5 in this week’s HBCU FCS Coaches poll. The Pirates host Rhode Island on Saturday.
